Health and Safety Protocols

HEALTH & SAFETY

Health and safety protocols are critical when working on the eye area, which is highly sensitive and prone to infection. Strict hygiene measures must be followed at all times to protect both you and your client.

Essential Hygiene Practices:

  • Wash and sanitize your hands thoroughly before every treatment
  • Sanitize and disinfect all tweezers before each use
  • Never use fingers to pick up lash extensions – always use tweezers
  • Immediately discard any materials that fall on the floor (extensions, brushes, eye pads, or any disposables)
  • Clean adhesive residue off tweezers using tweezer cleanser or acetone
  • Use all disposables (eye pads, tape, lip wands, micro swabs) once per client only
  • Wear a disposable face mask throughout application to prevent contamination and protect against adhesive fumes
  • Use a disposable hair net if your client has a fringe to keep hair away from the face
  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect all reusable tools after each client

Disinfection Process:

Clean all reusable tools and tweezers with warm water and disinfectant (warm water helps break down bacteria)

Use fresh disinfectant or sanitizer according to manufacturer’s instructions

Allow proper contact time for disinfectant to work effectively

Store sanitized tools in a clean, covered container

Remember: Proper hygiene is non-negotiable. It protects your clients, maintains your professional reputation, and ensures compliance with health regulations.
